Are NUST applications open?

The simple answer to Are NUST applications open for 2024? opens from 22 January to 02 February (Note: Applicants who are fully admitted will be able to register as from 08 January ).

A recognised degree in a related discipline or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level (Lvl) 7 for Honours degrees, NQF Level 8 for Masters degrees and NQF Level 9 for Doctoral degrees.

Upon receiving a “FULL” admission letter, applicants will be able to register themselves online from anywhere at any time from the comfort of their homes or offices. All they need is computer equipment and data. There will thus be no need for applicants to visit the campus to register unless they are experiencing a challenge. In such cases, applicants can visit the NUST Lower Campus, Auditoria. There will be dedicated staff that will assist the students to register.

NUST Admission Requirements

A minimum of 25 points in five subjects including an E-symbol in English on NSSC Ordinary Level. Individual programmes require Mathematics and Science

Foreign Qualification

The Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) evaluates foreign qualifications and if such qualifications are at Grade 12 level, the application will be considered for admission. Foreign school qualifications from countries in the SADC region need not be evaluated by the NQA for admission purposes. Please contact the NQA offices at:

You are advised to submit your qualifications for evaluation two (2) months prior to applying to the Namibia University of Science and Technolog (NUST) and to attach your original NQA evaluation to your application.
