Undergraduate Diploma Programs

For those with Namibian School Leaving Certificates from 2021 onwards, the criteria include:

  1. A pass in five different subjects, including 2 subjects on NSSCAS level with a minimum E or higher, 3 subjects on NSSCO level with a D or higher, and English at a minimum D at NSSCO level. OR
  2. Five subjects on NSSCO with a minimum of 24 points on the UNAM Evaluation Scale, with English at a minimum D at NSSCO Level.

Undergraduate Degree Programs

The UNAM requirements 2024 for undergraduate degree programs are:

  1. A pass in five different subjects, including 2 subjects on NSSCAS level with an average D or higher, 3 subjects on NSSCO level with a C or higher, and English at a minimum C at NSSCO level. OR
  2. A pass in five different subjects, including 3 subjects on NSSCAS level with an average D or higher, 2 subjects on NSSCO level with a D or higher, and English at a minimum C at NSSCO level.

Mature Age Entry (MAE)

The Mature Age Entry Scheme provides an opportunity for individuals with significant life and work experience to gain admission to UNAM. The UNAM requirements 2024 include:

  1. Being at least 25 years old on the first day of the academic year in which admission is sought.
  2. Successful completion of at least junior secondary education for certificate/diploma programs or senior secondary education for degree programs.
  3. Proof of at least five years of relevant work experience.
  4. Passing the Mature Age Entry Examination with specified papers.
  5. Scoring at least 50% for admission into degree programs and 40% for admission into diploma programs, with no paper less than 40%.
  6. Possible additional interview before final selection.
